Chronicle apex predator

Here we go, my new baby, Chronicle. I have a thing for mockumentary movies (besides Paranormal Activity, clearly), considering one of my favorite movies of all time is Cloverfield. Chronicle can now be satisfied to know that it also makes my list of favorite movies.
The style, the characters, the emotional struggles are all something that ran very deep for me. I’m into that whole “lets fuck with someone’s life and see what happens” crazy psychologist mentality, especially considering I wrote that short story on the end of the world. This is exactly my type of flick, filmed my type of way, with the type of flair I like in a film like this. Not clouded by special effects or filler, just raw experience followed by legit emotion.
I admit it isn’t perfect. Some parts could’ve been a little better acted, and the ending was a bit blah. Other than that I never tired of Chronicle. It’s message is everlasting and powerful. It has to be one of the best films of this year.
Solid 5 out of 5.

I completely agree with you. Ever since I saw it back in February, I’ve been trying to get every other person to go watch it. I’ve seen a lot of movies this year, and “Chronicle” was the only movie (besides “Prometheus” - then again, I’m an Aliens franchise and Ridley Scott fan so I’m going to be a bit biased on that one) that actually met my expectations. I agree, it’s not perfect, but it’s definitely one of the best I’ve seen in a while.
I did see the ending coming, but I’m glad they did that ending rather than trying to tie everything up in a neat little package…

It was pretty cool, I really liked the idea of things, and the plot was a tad bit above average too! It’s worth watching though, I went in with below avarage expectations and came out more than satisfied :D

I wonder what I would do if I had the power of telekenesis in my hands… >.>

It was one of only two movies that I’ve seen this year that actually delivered. It’s got a pretty good plot, and very clever use of the documentary-style filming. The ending reminded me of “Akira” mixed with “Carrie”, but it was a good climax.
